Catch A Smile

Spreading joy and friendship to children facing hardships through the power of community and play.

About Our Founder

Harvey Keenan

Harvey is a dreamer who has sought his whole life to dream the impossible dream. All his life, he has had this dream of sharing his journey with all of you.

The story of the pink ball is how friendships are made and kept for a lifetime. Harvey and his best friend, Garry Marshall, began having a catch with a pink ball when they were about 10 years old. At that time, a profound bond of friendship began.

Garry was a sickly young man, and many times Harvey visited him while he was in bed. They had a catch, which always brought a smile to both of their faces. This continued for the rest of their lives.

Garry Marshall, the renowned writer, producer, director, and actor behind iconic TV shows like Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley, as well as beloved films such as Beaches and Pretty Woman.

Harvey envisions a world where every child, regardless of their circumstances, can experience hope, happiness, and the transformative power of a smile.
